Healthy Recipe: Hemp Protein Granola Bars

If you guys are like me, you are *starving* when you wake up in the AM. It's a problem for me because I need to eat right away when I get up, in order to have energy to do my workout. But I don't *want* to eat, because having food in my stomach during my workout does not feel good.

Solution: Something light yet filling to fuel me up without sitting heavy in my stomach. Yum, yum, yum. These bars are vegan and full of great stuff for our bodies. Enjoy!

Body Rocking in the Dorm!

Hello Body Rockers!

If I did not tell you guys already I have been body rocking in the dorm hallway and have gotten some of my friends on the floor involved. Today I am doing the "If You Really Want More" workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxObP49zNWs&feature=player_embedded#! and I am warming up getting ready to sweat! Yesterday we did a workout and I got creative and used my backpack for a sandbag. Everyone in the hall might think I am weird for working out with my backpack, but that's ok :) Wish me luck with this workout! Hope your birthday was fun Anna!

Exercise Challenge: Side Burpees (from hell)

Today I did the Side Burpee Exercise Challenge. I completed 60 reps in 8:15. Who can beat me?? Good luck!

P.S. I kind of feel like I am going to die! This one really gets that heart rate up. My arms are like limp noodles now. It's a nice change from the usually really lower-body-intense workouts (I love those, too, of course.)

Healthy Recipe: Lemon Vanilla Blueberry Cheesecake

You guys. I made this cake last night for a little get-together with friends. It was so muggy and hot, so a frozen dessert was just the ticket. It really was so easy to make (especially with the Vitamix) and really, really tasty. And best of all, pretty dang healthy!




















Mine turned out just like the picture. Used some of the blueberries that Kate, Clare, Cathy and I picked! Mmmmmm...enjoy!

An Easy Way to Stay Motivated

I present to you an easy way for us all to share our Bodyrocking workouts, scores, progress, and challenges! You all have "admin" accounts (if you do not, it means I didn't have your email address. Please email me and I will set you up) so you can post any time you want to, to share a workout you did, your scores, a healthy recipe/meal, etc.

This blog might not be necessary soon because it sounds like Zuzana and Freddy are creating profiles and accounts on their website for anyone who wants to have one- but those changes are still in the works, so until then we can use this.
